Mmet Terms of Service

1. Introduction

Welcome to Mmet ("we," "us," or "our"), a book management mobile application. These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Mmet app (the "App"). By downloading, installing, or using the App, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree to these Terms, please do not use the App.

Important Notice: Mmet maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content, abusive behavior, or any form of user misconduct. Users who engage in such activities will have their access immediately terminated, and their content may be permanently removed.

2. Description of Service

Mmet is a book management app that helps users discover, collect, and manage their reading lists. The App provides the following features:

Browse and discover books through a grid-based interface
Create and manage custom book entries
Organize personal reading lists
Report inappropriate content to maintain community standards
Manage user profiles with optional avatar and nickname

3. User Eligibility and Registration

You must be at least 13 years old to use the App. The App does not require user accounts, registration, or login credentials. All data is stored locally on your device.

4. User Conduct and Content Standards

You agree to use the App responsibly and in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations. Specifically, you agree:

Not to create, upload, or share any content that is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another's privacy, hateful, or racially, ethnically, or otherwise objectionable
Not to impersonate any person or entity or falsely state or otherwise misrepresent your affiliation
Not to upload, post, or transmit any content that infringes any patent, trademark, trade secret, copyright, or other intellectual property rights
Not to upload any material that contains software viruses or any other computer code designed to interfere with the functionality of the App
Not to use the App for any commercial purposes without our prior written consent
Not to attempt to gain unauthorized access to any portion of the App

4.2 Content Moderation

We reserve the right, but are not obligated, to monitor, edit, or remove any content that we determine violates these Terms or is otherwise objectionable. We maintain a reporting system for users to flag inappropriate content.

Zero Tolerance Policy: Any violation of these content standards will result in immediate account termination (if applicable) and permanent removal of offending content. We do not tolerate objectionable content or abusive users under any circumstances.

5. Intellectual Property

5.1 Our Intellectual Property

The App and its original content, features, and functionality are and will remain the exclusive property of Mmet and its licensors. The App is protected by copyright, trademark, and other laws.

5.2 User-Generated Content

By creating custom book entries or other content in the App, you retain ownership of your content. However, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to use, display, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of providing the App's services.

6. Privacy and Data Protection

Your privacy is important to us. The App stores all data locally on your device and does not transmit personal information to our servers. Please refer to our Privacy Policy for detailed information about our data practices.

7. Disclaimers and Limitations of Liability

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the App will be uninterrupted or error-free.

To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or relating to your use of the App.

8. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Mmet and its officers, directors, employees, and agents from and against any claims, liabilities, damages, losses, and expenses arising out of or in any way connected with your violation of these Terms or your use of the App.

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your access to the App immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including if you breach these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the App will cease immediately.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. If a revision is material, we will provide at least 30 days' notice prior to any new terms taking effect. Your continued use of the App after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the jurisdictions where you reside, subject to the following considerations for international users:

Governed by applicable state laws

Subject to GDPR requirements

Any disputes arising from these Terms shall be resolved through binding arbitration in accordance with the rules of the jurisdiction applicable to your location.

12. Severability

If any provision of these Terms is found to be unenforceable or invalid, that provision will be limited or eliminated to the minimum extent necessary so that the Terms will otherwise remain in full force and effect.

13. Entire Agreement

These Terms constitute the entire agreement between you and Mmet regarding the use of the App and supersede all prior agreements and understandings.
